Process

The process of design from concept to print is an important development of a solution to your design needs. There are a few simple steps that help make the process go smoother and allow for a better finished project. A project is started with a client interview via mail, phone, or personal meeting...I like coffee houses for this.

Included in this interview will be a simple discussion of your company and questions about the project needs. This is the most important part as it will develop the brainstorming session. Before we meet I will email you a few questions to consider or some information to bring. Following the meeting or email I will send an estimate for the project and a timeline with certain benchmarks for keeping the project pace consistent. If the bid is accepted, a payment of 1/3 will be due before the project starts.

A series of concepts will be developed and three concepts will be presented in a timely manner. Once a concept is chosen 1/3 payment will be due and the project will be worked until completion, including two rounds of revisions.

When the final is complete and has gone to press, the final payment will be due. My goal is to provide the highest grade of service, and the best finished project. I will work within project budgets as discussed from the onset of the project.

Non-profit clients will receive a discounted service, and frequent customers can expect extra benefits as well.

Pricing

Project pricing will be covered before the beginning of the project, after the initial interview for needs. Budgets should be discussed up front and concerns of costs. PowderKeg has the benefit of low-cost full color process printing with a leading printer. The prices quoted at the start of the project will not include cost of printing, unless this is requested up front, so a bid can be received from printers prior to the project starting. Prices given are estimates to the final costs, and could be affected in changes of shipping and handling or a need to change printers. Project quotes will have a listed number of revisions from the onset, but any revisions thereafter caused by a change in client needs will be billable at an hourly rate.
